Let’s Look Back

Auckland is largest and the most populous urban area in the country. It has more 32 percent of the country’s population. Auckland’s name is Tamaki Makaurau. Auckland was classified as a Beta World City in the world cities study group. The central part of the urban area occupies a narrow isthmus between the Manukau Harbour on the Tasman Sea and the Waitemata Harbour on the Pacific Ocean. Many think that Auckland doesn’t have enough green space. Instead of parks having been planned as center pieces of the city from inception, as the most British Empire cities were, Auckland parks after thoughts, located on marginal land, as if no one ever expected Auckland to grow beyond being a port town.

Water is everywhere

While Auckland is New Zealand’s largest and the most populous city, it’s not the capital, which is Wellington. But Auckland sets the pace in many ways. Swimming, surfing, sailing and will find sunny beaches. A magical inlet. Mission beach is an obvious choice given its close proximity to Botany Downs and its plethora of Botany motels as well as endless possibilities on offer when comes to people watching on any given day.

Walk through Queen Street

On Friday and Saturday nights, there are typically many heavily intoxicated people wandering and down the street.

Life is a beach

Blessed with three harbours and hundreds of kilometer of coastline, Auckland has dozens of ‘secrets’ bays and beaches. If you are really looking for secret beaches, go remote. The beach is real gem- lovely white sand, regenerating wetlands and large grassy parks and playground. The best time to visit beaches is at high tide because the water goes out a long way.
